White Wine Fornazarič Leopold – Vipava Valley, Slovenia
Vinification: Hand-harvested in September. Five hours of maceration, then fermentation, and maturation on fine lees in stainless steel containers.
Characteristics: Gentle lemon-yellow colour with light green hues. The flavour is youthful and fruity. Ripe apples, pears, and herbal notes form a nice intertwining. In the mouth, the wine is dry, medium-bodied, with a bit of oily texture. Short, pleasant finish.
Food pairings: Oysters and clams, risotto with herbs or asparagus, light vegetarian dishes, sushi or sashimi. Serving temperature: 10 - 12 °C.
