Red Wine Prinčič Merlot – Goriška Brda, Slovenia

Vinification: The grapes are destemmed and macerated in a wine vat for 25-45 days, depending on the vintage, classically by dipping the cap. The remaining wine maturation and aging takes place in 225 L oak barrels for six months. 

Characteristics: The wine is ruby red in color, which acquires an amber hue with age. The characteristic aroma of cherries, blackberries and mulberries gives the Merlot from Brda its distinctive mark. It has a rich fruity taste with very well-balanced tannins. The wine has a fullness and harmony that has been formed in oak barrels. 

Food pairings: Steak, game, mature cheeses. Serving temperature: 16-18 °C.
