White Wine Chardonnay IAQIUN – Goriška Brda, Slovenia

Vinification: Short maceration 2-3 hours in contact with skins and seeds in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Wine is fermented with the grapes yeast. Natural maturing in barrique oak barrels for 10 months. Ageing potential: 2024 – 2029.

Characteristics: This Chardonnay conquers from the first moments. The wine is pure and rich golden yellow color. A persistent honey-vanilla and woody aroma with hints of wild flowers and green apples. In the mouth, the wine is dry, with a soft and oily body. The taste develops slowly but surely, becoming more intense and strong, then smoothly turning into a long, slightly spicy aftertaste. 

Food pairings: Pairs well with grilled poultry or fish. Serving temperature: 10 – 12°C.
