Aegean Gold is a superior category extra virgin olive oil obtained directly from hand-selected olives solely by mechanical means. It is a unique blend of three local Lesvos olive varieties: Kolovi, Adramytiani, and Latholia.

The Kolovi olive variety grows on Lesvos’ rocky terrains at an altitude of about 600 meters and doesn’t need much water. This olive tree has a wide root system that allows it to obtain nutrients from the soil and other plants. As a result, these small green olives impart a saturated taste to the olive oil, giving it an intense flavor of wild mountain herbs.

Adramytiani olives are light brown and medium-sized, with an oil content of about 20%, growing in the northern and northeastern parts of Lesvos island. These olives contribute a light fruity aroma and rich texture to Aegean Gold.

Latholia, an authentic olive variety from Lesvos, is a large dark olive with an oil content of 25%, making it one of the best olives for olive oil extraction. It has a very gentle, smooth, and semi-sweet taste.

Together, these three olive varieties create an excellent extra virgin olive oil, Aegean Gold, with its amazing golden-green bright color, rich fruity flavor, and full-bodied taste.

Aegean Gold is the best olive oil for fresh vegetables and is an absolute must for your authentic Greek salad. Its mild taste and subtle aroma won’t dominate but will enhance the taste of other ingredients such as feta, vegetables, and olives.

Extra virgin olive oil Aegean Gold has been awarded more than 40 distinctions in international fairs and exhibitions in Greece, Italy, the United States, Japan, Great Britain, and Switzerland.

The oil is packed in 1L and 5L metal tins, which helps to preserve and retain its beneficial properties longer because this packaging protects olive oil from light and helps maintain a constant temperature.
