Organic Orange Wine Pinot Gris Keltis – Lower Styria, Slovenia
Vinification: Maceration takes place for 4 weeks in contact with the skins in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Maturation 24 months in oak barrels. The wine is unfiltered and a minimum amount of sulfites was added just before bottling. Ageing potential: 2022 – 2030.
Characteristics: The wine exhibits a rich, warm deep amber color with golden honey highlights and hues of pale red, as a consequence of extended maceration. Nose receives an elegant balance of red fruits and a hint of wooden bouquet. Taste is rounded, medium strong, with herbal and rich fruity notes.
Food pairings: Carries enough boost to support a serious meal. Goes well with asparagus-based dishes, fatty fish, poultry and creamy sauces. Serving temperature: 12-16° C.
