White Wine Jakot Fornazarič – Vipava Valley, Slovenia
Vinification: 48-hour maceration, 12-month maturation on fine lees in a large oak barrel, then another 12 months in a stainless steel container. Bottled after two years of maturation in an underground cellar, further maturation takes place in bottles.
Characteristics: Golden yellow in colour. Intense bouquet, perceptible scent of herbs and acacia. It is full of flavour, mineral, with a pleasant aftertaste.
Food pairings: Chicken, foie gras, salads, blue cheeses or desserts. Also good as aperitif. To serve at 10 – 12 °C.
