White Wine Cultus Josef Estate – Vipava Valley, Slovenia
Vinification: Maceration takes place for 3 days in contact with the skins in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Maturation 12 months in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. Throughout the whole year no sulfites was added. The wine is unfiltered and a minimum amount of sulfites was added just before bottling.
Characteristics: Cultus White is Vipava Valley traditional blend. It is wonderfully elegant, complex and yet very harmonious in itself. The wine begins with a very inviting aroma of tropical fruit, caramel and a little vanilla. The taste is bright, creamy and fruity with lots of peach and nectarine along with a hazelnut note.
Food pairings: The wine goes well with white meat or fish as well as with soft white cheeses. To serve chilled at 10-12° C.
