Red Wine Cultus Red – Vipava Valley, Slovenia
Vinification: Maceration takes place for 3 weeks in contact with the skins in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Maturation 15 – 24 months in oak barrels. The wine is unfiltered and contains a minimum amount of sulfites. Ageing potential: 2024 – 2030.
Characteristics: Deep ruby-red colour with beautiful reflections. The wine has intense berry notes, plum and blueberry taste at the beginning. It is powerful, spicy in the mouth, with pleasant tannins and fresh acidity. Well-balanced and complex wine with a great combination of strength and fruit.
Food pairing: The wine goes well with red meat (lamb, venison) or with matured mountain cheeses. Also good by itself. To serve at 16-18° C.
